I had a long day and missed the bus home, the last bus for the night. MaGreen had to pick me up. We didn't get to the apartment until ten pm. No time to cook, so we bought veggie burgers, french fries, and a Coke from the Burger King drive through.
BabyG enjoyed the break from being an exemplar of green.
She insisted that the cat try out this strange and exciting lifestyle her parents have somehow neglected introducing to her.
Here she is totally blissed out on ketchup and french fries.
May the Green Goddess forgive us.

i believe the last photo is not a blissout but the grease from the fries hitting her all at once. she looks like that morgan from the supersize me movie when he goes around telling everybody he might die from eating mcdonalds.
I think it's important to eat "out" occasionally, if only to remember why it's not that great. Good for filling the stomach in a pinch, but really not so great otherwise. And I'm always worrying about creating a "forbidden fruit" situation, where my kids grow up to be video-gaming, burger-munching, soda-swilling couch potatoes!
So glad I found your blog! We are green parents over here at the radical house and it's pretty alienating sometimes.
Not a comment on this entry, but I couldn't figure out how to send you e-mail. Fan of the blog, BTW, although child-free myself.
My father was a big fan of bamboo and grew quite a bit of the clumping variety, so I've always followed the development of bamboo products for consumers. I'd be interested in your take on the "bambu Boutique" at http://store.greenfeet.com. The bamboo kids' utensils look like a pretty good alternative to plastic, but I'm not sure that substituting disposable bamboo plates for disposable paper plates is all good.

Sooooooo CUTE! The BabyG, the kitty! Too much cuteness! :)
Missing the bus is the worst. French fries, on the other hand, are the best. May the Green Goddess forgive us all.
Getting around to thinking about no poo (shampoo). Very afraid.
